About Bella Moon Marti began making jewellery in 2006 and progressed from basic beading, through to learning wire work and the art of silversmithing. She sold her jewellery online and through a handpicked retail store, before opening her own retail shop in the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick. The shop was extremely well received, however only stayed open for six months.  Left: Bella Moon in Sydney Road, Brunswick.Marti chose to close the shop when approached by a retailer who was keen to open a shop in that location. Given she was finding it more difficult to design and make jewellery while operating the shop, she took up the offer so she could focus on designing and making her own jewellery once more. With a move interstate planned for later in 2010, Bella Moon has been taking some time out to prepare for that and plan for a great step forward. She will be reopening early in 2011 with new collections and a greater focus on pearls - a material she adores and loves working with - alongside semi-precious and precious stones. |
